Our banquet table for artist Cai Guo-Qiang’s NYC studio, designed by OMA/Rem Koolhaas. The table is made from a single slab of distressed Douglas Fir from an old growth tree that came down in a storm in Oregon. This exciting project had a long gestation, it was part of a unique adaptive reuse renovation of an old schoolhouse in Manhattan.
Table dimensions: 16′ long x 5′ wide x 3.5″ thick, from a single slab of sustainably harvested douglas fir.
